Up for review tonight is the Starlite Kiss Lock Purse in Red Sparkle by Lux De Ville ( also available in a variety of other colours with matching wallets).
I’ve had this delicious bag for roughly a year now, and I still receive compliments every time I use it. At a recent car show, my man even got some compliments when I asked him to hold it while I went to the loo.
The little details really make this handbag stand out; from the bullet feet on the bottom, to the retro touch of a kiss lock closure, daring leopard lining and a cute silver star accent on the front… Add these on to the darling sparkles and vintage-inspired shape made from an easy clean vinyl material, and you’ve got an amazing bag!
Let’s focus on the colour and the sparkles for a second. This photo from the Lux De Ville site, and all the others I managed to find, just don’t do this bag any justice. The sparkles rival that of the most outrageous sparkly nail polish you could find, or even rivals the most lively Christmas decoration. If they made a shoe that looked like this, I could die a happy woman.
Now, I bought this purse from PinUpGirlClothing.com, so I cannot comment very thoroughly on Lux De Ville’s service, but I have only ever heard good things (the 9 5 star reviews on Lux De Ville only solidify that fact). I can, however, comment on their amazing customer service that I’ve seen over their facebook page. They regularly have contests where you can win a free handbag, traincase or wallet (with no limits, so that includes their lavish and expensive lucite purses); and usually offer up a coupon at the end of the contest for us folk who aren’t so lucky.
However, there are a couple of bad points for the bag. For one, it is a tad on the small side to hold everything I need during the day, but for a night out it works beautifully. The second thing is that the price is a tad on the expensive side; but I would spend that much again on another one of these bags. I’ve never had a problem with the construction, and I’ve never had to be overly worried about trying to fit everything in to it (I carry a tonne of useless stuff anyway!).
So yes, I say—do it! Take the leap and get one! For gosh sake, think of all the sparkles!!
